Real Estate Courses

CompuTaught leads the nation on e-learning for real estate professionals

In 1989, CompuTaught became the first in the nation to offer state approved real estate courses taught entirely on computer. Since then, CompuTaught has been successful in obtaining state regulatory approval to offer its courses in more states than any other provider. CompuTaught is approved to offer its courses in all 50 states, and has far more courses approved in those states, and teaches far more students than anyone else.

CompuTaught courses provide the highest levels of convenience, the primary benefit to users. The design of our courses is such that the computer controls the entire educational process, thus allowing the student to complete an entire course on his/her own schedule without the need for intervention by an instructor.

Our courses provide a totally asynchronous learning environment that provides maximum convenience to the user. The courses are completed on the Internet using the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser on your computer.

Each lesson is an interactive tutorial that presents information and asks you questions about what you have read. The interactive learning process monitors your progress and provides feedback as needed to help you learn the material easily. The lessons are designed so you can work at your own pace. It is easy to use and does not require extensive prior experience with computers.

ARELLO Certification

A key component in CompuTaught's success has been its leadership in establishing high standards for the design of distance education that have enabled us to obtain regulatory approvals.

The Association of Real Estate License Law Officials initiated its Distance Education Certification program in 1999 to certify the distance education methodology of distance education providers. Because of its successful track record, CompuTaught was influential in helping to develop high standards for distance education courses, and was the first for-profit school to have courses approved by ARELLO.

ACE College Credit Recommendation Service

The American Council on Education (ACE), under its College Credit Recommendation Service, reviews courses offered by schools other than accredited colleges and universities and issues credit recommendations for those courses, allowing students to obtain transfer credit for these courses at over 2400 colleges and universities nationwide.

A series of nine CompuTaught courses were designated for college credit in 1996. These CompuTaught courses were the first computer-based courses to be designated for college credit in any field by ACE.
